Nice Buds

So, a bunch of buddies and myself did this craaaaazy thing. We made DC parodies of ourselves. Yeah, like, Batman and Superman and Wonder Woman. Those kinds of parodies.

's parody is Poison Ivy, but she's having trouble figuring out a costume for her. . .and a name, but that's neither here nor there.

This is her sketch ( [link] ) which I doodled on top of in an attempt to help out her muse.

Of course, I ended up with the same problem she had -- costume design ideas. So I doodled three outfits, each with their distinctive names. I also doodled a (sorta) new pose, to make her stand up a bit taller and/or fix the proportion problem I noticed in that her torso was a bit short.

That particular kind of distortion is fine and welcome with chibis, but this is not a chibi.

ANYHOW.

Ivy: Based on Poison Ivy a bit. This is what she might look like immediately after transformation (think Ivy from the Batman & Robin movie). I had this scene in my head where she just goes hiking in khaki shorts and a top, then gets lost, rained on, falls down a cliff, gets injured, and then. . .somehow. . .begins taking nourishment from the earth, healing herself and discovering that she's Mother Nature incarnate. (Wow, that's a mouthful.)

Heroine: A bit of a more superhero-y design. Took some inspiration from a pic of a new KH game in GameInformer magazine. I don't know who the chick was in the pic, but she has some style.

Sexy: Should be self-explanatory. But the rule for all females in comics is that they must be alluring, in one sense or another. . .usually, they're downright sexy. So I took a stab at a sexy kind of outfit (I like the shoes myself) though I'm admittedly not very good at it.

NONE OF THESE COLORS ARE CANON. THEY ARE JUST TO DISTINGUISH BETWEEN DESIGNS. Pshaw, as if the separate places on the page weren't enough.

Original: The original sketch, modified only in that I added a small bit of shading to her and a lot of shading to the vines she's growing. This way you know what I started with.

New Lines: Self-explanatory. The lines I put on top, made orange to contrast with the blue.
