Title basically means she's hoping for love, regardless of how doubtful she is of receiving it.
Half for the prompt,
half for mehself.
Nightshade doesn't try to be cute very often, after all. Which might be because I've never viewed her as "cute". For whatever reason, I had this quirky idea to draw her in a 50's pinup kinda pose, with an outfit that was both sweet and sexy.
. . .I came up with a sleeveless one-piece shaped a little like a heart with sparkles galore and gold fringe. In actuality, Nightshade wouldn't be caught dead in that.
She might really wear the sparkly rose on her wrist, though.
I also considered giving her a prop for her left hand, like a flower or a lollipop, but I kinda overlooked it. Like it was too much work iunno.
I think, of everything, this pic was mostly helpful in the way I colored her wings. They just look so accurately leathery now.
Background was my pathetic attempt at a frame of some sort. Ah well, at least I like the color.
