Alistair and F!Warden from Dragon Age: Origins. Requested full color prizeart for kamikamiya . The request was something cute and/or romantic regarding her Warden and Alistair, so naturally I had to put them on a loveseat, dressed-down and relaxing while making eye contact.
I was a little slow with this but once I got to the shadow under the sofa (and messed with it for 20 minutes straight without any progress except backwards) I decided it was done.
I am very easily frustrated with my own art.
As I was working on this, I had a thought regarding a new possible coloring technique, which turned out so awesome that I had to make a tutorial out of it! (For some reason I can't get the link to, y'know, be a LINK, so you'll have to look it up yourself.)
A lot of little things gave me trouble in this, not the least of which was Alistair's freaking FACE.
I considered NOT doing the whole hairy armpit thing, but then I remembered that this is Alistair we're talking about. The guy who put on a disgusting, filthy sock because the one he was currently wearing was a little damp. Plus this is in a medieval era where people didn't follow personal hygiene all that closely. Somehow I don't think Alistair would shave anything beyond his face.
But enough talk about armpits and hygiene!

I really wish dA would stop giving previews of each category based on the most popular submissions. It makes me feel horribly inferior. I'M SORRY I CAN'T DRAW LINK THAT WELL, STOP TORMENTING ME WITH AMAZING ART! /cry

Wait a minute...Kami once called Mass Effect a dating sim she had no interest in playing. Now I find out she is playing Dragon Age? Which is exactly the same as Mass Effect except in a fantasy setting?

I think you definitely delivered on what was asked. There's something very soft and gentle about it. If they had been all 
then that wouldn't be romantic. That'd just be porn. 
And I'm already behind on my porn updates. I don't need more thank you very much.
Also, you are way to harsh on yourself. The poses you chose are so well done and ridiculously difficult to execute.
There's no way I'd go near poses like that because of their difficulty factor. So cut yourself some slack!
